A stylish new arrival in Henderson has enlisted two local chefs to create an elevated spin on a fusion menu but still served in a fast-casual manner.
Overseen by the newly launched 8 Lifestyle Group, already readying to debut three other Las Vegas restaurants later this year, 8 Kitchen replaces the shuttered Portion Control at the St. Rose Coronado retail hub, close to the intersection of St. Rose and Paseo Verde parkways.
A short distance from the closed Lacuna and still in business Steak ’n Shake, 8 Kitchen’s counter-service “revolving menu” currently includes pressed sandwiches of braised pork belly, or wagyu steak and egg, “grab & go” choices of fruit cups, parfaits, salads, plus cold pressed juice created daily.
Also on the menu choices from the company’s next three locations, including ramen, shishito peppers and burgers.
Next from the company, Bone & Belly from chef Nathan Asamoto, last connected with Shinya Maru Ramen & Izakaya on Fremont East, plus the Hawaiian-focused 808 Eatery, both set to launch in the same Silverado Gallery Shopping Center.
Also on the way, Food & Fare, first revealed last October to be headed to the base of the Lotus apartment complex on Spring Mountain Road, a neighbor to The Taco Stand and the Japanese omakase menu of Kame.
Joining Asamoto, 8 Lifestyle has enlisted Jeffrey Sauz as corporate chef, following time spent at Wynn Las Vegas and the Tao Groups’ Beauty & Essex.
