Poke&Go Debuts ‘Fresh Food Fast’ Downtown

Sushi burritos, bowls, and “pokecado toast” arrive today

Next door to La Sandwicherie, newcomer Poke&Go begins serving its personal spin on poke bowls and sushi burritos at the base of downtown’s City Centre Place building on Wednesday.

It took La Sandwicherie took almost two years before it was able to debut its European-inspired restaurant back in March, moving into a difficult location that has also been home to the City Centre Caffe and Make It Yourself Pizza.

Poke&Go is replacing the long shuttered Sin City Sandwich at the intersection of Lewis Avenue and Fourth Street and like its cafe neighbor, will only be open during the week, convenient for employees and visitors at the Courthouse and City Hall.

On the counter-service menu, a merging of poke and avocado. dubbed “pokecado toast,” and an assortment of boba tea drinks including cantaloupe, matcha, lychee, and taro flavors.

Patrons can build their own bowls or sushi burritos, with a choice of toppings, vegetables, and seasonings, and plus the option of ahi tuna, salmon, yellowish, crab salad, tofu, spicy tuna, or shrimp tempura as the main ingredient.

Poke&Go, 375 Lewis Ave. Open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
