Las Vegas nightclubs still haven’t figured out what the next “thing” is to lure customers through the doors. In the late 2000s, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton rang in the new year at nightclubs. That turned into celebrities taking over the club as a special guest. Next came reality personalities from Jersey Shore hosting the night, followed by hip-hop stars performing short gigs with two or three songs on the weekends.
Wynn Las Vegas opened Intrigue Nightclub in 2016, promising a private club inside the club where no social media was allowed. Now Intrigue closes on June 1 after a three-year run at the resort.
The 14,000-square-foot club took over the former Tryst space after going through a renovation that included new lighting and sound from John Lyons Systems and a new glass-enclosed patio.
That patio includes a waterfall and pyrotechnics show.
Las Vegas Weekly reports that the nightclub converts into private event space. Vital Vegas originally teased the closing about a month ago.
