New arrival 100 Fires Caribbean Bistro Cafe encourages its patrons to “start your day the right way” with a lakeside view and a breakfast and lunch menu inspired by island favorites.
Located inside the same building as Forever Amore Weddings at the entrance to the Lake Town Center retail hub, 100 Fires joins The King & I, Those Guys Pies, and another recent newcomer, Baby Birds Cafe.
Open daily and still planning to schedule live music “Salsa Sundays,” the compact space features a mix of booth seating and tables.
On the breakfast menu served until 11:30 a.m. during the week and during extended brunch hours on the weekend, sweet plantain pancakes breakfast tacos, the huevocado, an avocado fan served on golden brown Cuban toast, and the vaca frita, a breaded deep fried New York steak with yucca mash and two eggs any style.
Main menu items include sourdough bowls, empanadas, tossed greens, the “El Beny,” a Cuban mojo slow-roasted pork loin sandwich, and small bites such as the “Flying Jerks,” jerk rub chicken wings with pineapple dipping ranch.
100 Fires Caribbean Bistro Cafe, 2902 Lake East Drive, 702-969-6845. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
