Following confirmation Shoku Ramen-ya and Bachi Burger have shuttered for good at the Windmill Lane Plaza, new signs reveal three new tenants are headed to the southeast retail center, including a popular Spring Mountain Road resident.
Houston-based Juicy Burgers will replace the Asian-inspired Bachi menu with halal-meat and veggie garden patties, plus fast casual favorites including chicken wings and gyro plates. Right next door, newcomer Opulicious Poke has not announced an opening date, but both locations are promising to be coming soon.
A short distance away, next door to Level Up Nitro Creamery & Boba and inside the former Blue Sea Sushi & Izakaya, Nakamura Takashi is rapidly moving close to a debut with his new venture Hidaka Sushi. Named after the chef’s home town in Hokkaido, Japan, his resume includes chief sushi chef at Mikado at the Mirage, Tsunami Asian Grill & Sushi Bar at the Venetian, and his current restaurant, the four-year old Sushi Takashi in Chinatown.
Known for serving high quality sushi at reasonable prices, the Sushi Taksahi menu is frequently upgraded with select fish shipped direct from Japan, with recent imports including kanpachi, aji, shimaaji, King Salmon, and ocean trout.
Yet to promote the expansion, or an estimated debut, much of the Hidaka Sushi interior is already in place.
