Twinkies, the iconic brand from Hostess, celebrates 100 years this weekend with a rolling version of the sweet treat heading to Boulder City. A Twinkies Airstream dubbed the Twinkiemobile makes a stop from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, at Hoover Dam in Boulder City on its cross-country tour.
The event features Hostess-themed games, selfie stations, and samples of new and limited-time only Hostess Birthday CupCakes. Additionally, fans can meet Twinkie The Kid and play games such as Plinko-“Twink-O,” Hostess corn hole, and tic-tac-toe. A photo booth and other selfie-friendly activities wrap up the fun.
The event celebrates the 100th birthday, or “Sweetennial,” of the iconic Twinkie. Over the course of the next two months, the Twinkiemobile roams the country. Additional stops include Altoona, Pennsylvania; New York City; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Charlotte, North Carolina; Atlanta; Nashville; Chicago, Kansas City, Missouri; Bentonville, Arkansas; Austin, Texas; Denver; Salt Lake City; and Los Angeles.
