Area 15, the 120,000-square-foot experiential retail and entertainment complex opening next to I-15 next year, now has its first nightlife tenant. Emporium, a bar and arcade entertainment space, joins the art installations and live events that will take place at the locale when it opens later in 2019.

The lineup include almost 100 classic arcade games including pinball, skee-ball, air hockey, pool tables, foosball, arcade basketball, and much more. Large projection and TV screens, live DJs and music acts, and large-scale murals from Las Vegas artists create the backdrop for the space.

Emporium plans to offer regional craft beers, craft cocktails on tap, wine, and a wide range of whiskeys and mixed drinks.

Emporium also has three locations in Chicago, one in San Francisco, and a new location in Oakland, California.

Among other proposed plans at Area 15, eSports and tournaments, escape rooms or a fun house, themed retail, and live music and dance festivals. The project developers estimate as many as 108 annual events will take place on the grounds.

Visitors are expected to treat the space as an “explorer,” discovering the large and eclectic artworks. A joint venture between the Fisher Brothers, the property owner, and developers and creative partners Beneville Studios, another major contributor will be art collective Meow Wolf, best known locally for its appearances at downtown’s Life Is Beautiful festivals.
