Right on schedule, Flights Las Vegas is landing its first non-California expansion at the Miracle Mile Shops, just in time for the July 4 weekend.
Set to be open daily from 9 a.m. to midnight, restaurateurs Alex and Sarah Hult will launch on July 1, featuring a menu from Kyle Kingrey, a former executive chef at the Cosmopolitan’s Beauty & Essex and the Tao Group.
Located inside the former home of Cheeseburger Las Vegas and close to the V Theater, the interior is wide open to the pedestrian traffic headed through the indoor mall and has capped its aviation design theme by mounting a full-size, light aircraft on the ceiling.
Built around a concept of serving “flights” of three dishes, or drinks, diners can look forward to trios of tuna, mac and cheese, burgers, and desserts, plus larger, individual entrees including “prime New York strip steak and paprika smoked dusted salmon.”
Among the cocktail collection, a Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger-inspired “Miracle on the Hudson,” featuring its own intact, floating plane.
