It’s been a long wait since new Nevada restaurant Cali Burgers first promised to be coming soon, but fast-casual fans anxious for a first taste of “onion bombs” and “Southern California-style burgers” now have an official opening date in North Las Vegas.
Launching on Friday, June 7, Cali Burger replaces a former 24-hour Tortas El Rey at the Fiesta Plaza retail center, close to the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard, and designed with hard-to-miss red and white signage.
Drive-thru only, 670 square feet of shaded outdoor seating has been added, ready to serve a yet-to-be revealed menu featuring sandwiches, “Cali wings,” asada fries and burgers prepared on “soft, fresh Brioche buns.”
Among the house specialties, “onion bombs,” created with “fresh, medium size sweet onions, hand pressed and wedged, breaded and then fried to perfection, served with signature dipping sauces.”
Also previewed, “The Loaded Bomb,” which takes a pressed, fired onion and adds “shredded cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and a toriado jalapeño.”
Still advertising a future expansion to Reno, future opening hours in Las Vegas will be announced soon.
