Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro is still drawing crowds to Carlo’s Bake Shop and Buddy V’s Ristorante at the Venetian, but his next local venture will jump to a new resort and become a stand-out, highly visible casual-dining attraction right on the Las Vegas Strip.
His new Pizzacake has filed early paperwork to move into the Harrah’s Las Vegas, building a 441-square-foot open patio, convenient for pedestrians on Las Vegas Boulevard to eat a fast-casual menu of pizza and sweet creations.
Replacing the current Gifts Plus retail store, located between Breeze Daiquiri Bar and the Piano Bar around the corner, Buddy V fans with an urge for an even quicker dessert can grab and go from a custom Cake ATM.
Also accessible from the casino floor, the interior counter service space will offer table seating, stand up counters, a “freestyle Coke dispenser” and long glass displays showcasing the day’s pizza and pastries.
Expanding to Las Vegas in October 2013, Valastro proved a natural fit at the Venetian, luring long lines of customers entranced by the open kitchen bakery and his famed lobster tails and cannolis seen on numerous TV appearances.
Yet to be announced by Valastro, Harrah’s, or resort operator Caesars Entertainment, an estimated debut date for the substantial project has not been revealed.
