Chef Kaoru Azeuchi has been luring savvy diners to his omakase restaurant in Silverado Ranch since 2014. New paperwork confirms he intends to debut a second location in Chinatown.
Named after the original, Kaiseki Yuzu will take over an 1,800-square-foot end space at 3900 Spring Mountain Road, inside the long retail building behind Tofu Hut and Meet Fresh.
Inside, plans call for the construction of two dining sections. The first offers 10 seats at the open kitchen and two, 12-seat dining tables. A second area includes eight seats at the bar and eight more inside a private dining room, creating an upgrade in size from the 30-seat current home at 1310 E. Silverado Ranch Blvd.
Yet to announce the expansion, or an estimated debut date, the southeastern Kaiseki Yuzu experience requires a reservation at least three days in advance to order the four-course, nine- or 10-dish, one of a kind meal, “created specifically” for each diner and designed never to be repeated on a future visit.
