The self-described “sweetest bakery in Las Vegas” is almost ready for a debut in the northwest, featuring an unapologetic menu of sugary treats.
Created by Melissa Thornton, the Sweet Popp Shopp will take over a 1,190-square-foot former brow bar at a Lowe’s anchored retail center, right by the intersection of Craig Road and Jones Boulevard and next door to the Great Links Brewhouse & Grill.
A mother of six, Thornton has already enlisted her children to take center stage in the store advertising.
Scheduled to be open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m, the bakery will feature “gourmet popcorn,” customized flavored sodas, doughnuts, and a variety of fudge.
Two main attractions will be a collection of cupcakes, including Kit Kat, bacon maple syrup, and vegan selections, plus the Hong Kong-inspired puff waffles, featuring bubble waffle cones topped with options of whipped cream, animal crackers, Pocky sticks, or sprinkles.
