Expect long lines today when the first semi-permanent Hello Kitty Cafe opens at the Park at 11 a.m. Parent company Sanrio brings a mini cafe pop-up over the next six months in front of Beerhaus, between the Park MGM and New York-New York.
The open space cafe features bright pink Hello Kitty graphics ripe for photos. Customers can order Hello Kitty-themed beverages, including coffee and espresso drinks as well as lemonades, iced teas, and milk teas. Hello Kitty cakes, cookies, croissants, doughnuts, and ice cream round out the food. Additionally, exclusive merchandise will include specially designed Hello Kitty Cafe mugs, T-shirts, baseball caps, key chains, and tote bags.
The first 50 customers on Friday receive a small gift with purchase. Hello Kitty herself will meet and greet fans from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 3 to 5 p.m.
The new Hello Kitty Cafe Las Vegas pop-up will be the first of its kind in Nevada, following the wild success of its sister concepts in California, which include the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe in Irvine, California, and Hello Kitty Mini Cafe in San Jose, California. in addition to two Hello Kitty Cafe Trucks that launched in 2014, and made numerous stops in Las Vegas, continue to traverse both coasts.
