Gaining ground in the local, highly competitive, fast-casual dining scene, Rivas Mexican Grill has rapidly expanded from its 2010 start in Sunrise and is now rapidly approaching 10 locations, including one headed to Carson City.
The self-described home of the “best steak fries in town,” Rivas will replace the shuttered, stand-alone site of La Enchilada at 557 S. Saliman Road, Carson City. Announced as “coming soon,” the 988-square-foot property already includes the option of a drive-thru and features space for outdoor seating.
Also on the way, the grill will take over 1,178-square feet at the under construction retail center at 5660 Hualapai Way, located at the opposite end of the building from Utah-based Bruges Waffles & Frites and their future menu of “authentic Belgian waffles and fries.”
Rivas fans can expect the same collection of “real Mexican grill” favorites, plus menudo, pozole, and “white chicken, steak sirloin and fresh shrimp” ingredients.
