Cult-Favorite Ike’s Love & Sandwiches Opens with a $100 Howard Hughes Sandwich

Sandwich purveyor Ike’s Love & Sandwiches debuted its very first outpost in Las Vegas. The wildly popular franchise with San Francisco roots opened at Fashion Show with a menu found only in Las Vegas.

“It’s safe to say we’ve hit the jackpot here in Vegas,” says founder Ike Shehadeh. “Our sandwiches and this city have one thing in common: they’re both out of this world. My High Roller menu has been in my brain for a long time and I’m excited to bring it to life just for Vegas.”

Ike’s rolls out the inaugural High Roller menu with three over-the-top sandwiches, all made with American wagyu roast beef by Snake River Farms and sliced prime rib by Lowers with Ike’s white truffle dirty sauce. The $100 Howard Hughes sandwich feeds two, and features more than two pounds of premium meats as well as decadent duck bacon. The $69 Queen of Hollywood’s Royal Cheesesteak is a slimmer version of the Howard Hughes with mushrooms. The $69 Bugsy Siegel adds salami, ham, and turkey.

Also only on the Las Vegas menu, the Don’t Put Me On The Backburner with roast beef, jalapeño bacon, silver barbecue sauce, cheddar, and American cheeses as well as a vegetarian option that pays homage to the classic Vegas casino Silver Slipper, made with vegan fried chicken, cheddar, and American cheeses.

The menu also features Ike’s cult classics including the Ménage a Trois with Halal chicken, three different cheeses, and sauces, as well as Meatless Mike with vegan meatballs, marinara, and pepper jack cheese. Fans can find more than 500 vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free sandwich options.

Shehadeh partnered with former professional boxer Andre Ward and NFL running back Marshawn Lynch, who both invested in numerous Bay Area locations for the sandwich empire.

The restaurant holds a grand opening on Thursday, July 11, with the first 50 customers in line receiving a free sandwich. Fans who follow Ike’s on Instagram score a $5 sandwich. Shehadeh plans to be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and those who take a photo with him and post it on social media with the tag #ikesforlife will be entered to win free sandwiches for a year.
