For more than a decade, Dee’s Donuts has been a neighborhood favorite in the northwest. Now the Centennial fixture has confirmed an opening date for its first expansion, featuring a new name, but the same “secret recipe.”
First revealed almost a year ago, Mazzoa Donuts will debut on Aug. 3, moving into space 100 at 5180 Blue Diamond Road, a short distance from Decatur Boulevard.
The location plans to serve “traditional style” doughnuts. Yet-to-be confirmed daily opening hours are expected to be from 5 a.m. until early evening.
The 1,356-square foot space sits next door to the highly anticipated, first casual restaurant for Oming’s Kitchen and its Philippine street food menu, now looking to August for its own unveiling.
On the other side of the doughnut shop, the sixth local outpost for The Chicken Shack is also close to launching in a corner property designed by downtown’s Bunnyfish Studio, a frequent collaborator with the retail center’s owner, Ten15 Development.
