A makeover of Ruth’s Chris Steak House has joined a series of multi-million dollar upgrades at Harrah’s Las Vegas that will include remodeling rooms, the lobby, and the arrival of Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro.

Debuting in 2013, Ruth’s Chris replaced the second-floor, 13,280-square-foot former home of The Range Steakhouse space, notable for its floor-to-ceiling windows offering a prime view of the Las Vegas Strip.

The steakhouse is now temporarily closed through Aug. 28 for the remodel, with paperwork filed last month estimating a construction budget of $727,501 to cover the interior enhancements.

The upgrades follows current improvements to the hotel rooms, plus a future overhaul of the hotel lobby, featuring its own estimated construction budget of $2.7 million.

Yet to be announced by the resort, recent filings uncovered star chef Buddy Valastro’s plans to debut his latest restaurant, Pizzacake, right on Las Vegas Boulevard, featuring a menu of pizzas and desserts and accessible via the Strip, or the Harrah’s casino floor. An outdoor cake-filled ATM has also been proposed.

Neither Harrah’s, nor Valastro has yet confirmed the new project.
