Operating more than 80 locations across 13 states, Sam’s Southern Eatery has headed north to Nevada for the first time, delivering a menu of home-style Cajun and Creole favorites.
Taking over the 3,239-square-foot retro diner space at the corner of Sahara Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard, the building has previously been home to Al’s Beef, the Bollywood Grill, Kiton Kitchen, and Moshe Shawarma.
The Sam’s menu specializes in seafood and proudly boasts to be the ”home of the jumbo shrimp,” but is also offering breakfast, including a $7.99 all-you-can-eat option, from 7 to 10 a.m.
On the main menu, appetizers of fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, and fried pickles, plus chicken wings, strips, liver, and gizzards, burgers, and its oyster, shrimp, and crawfish po’boys.
Fried and grilled seafood choices arrive with two sides, including red beans and rice, and customers can opt for catfish, crab cakes, oyster, tilapia, or the Sam’s Special of 25 baby shrimp.
Sam’s Southern Eatery, 6840 W. Sahara Ave., 247-1032. Open daily from 7 a.m to 10 p.m.
