Freed’s Bakery, a name synonymous with decadent desserts for more than 60 years, is on the fast track to debut in Summerlin within weeks.
The 1,400-square-foot Freed’s Dessert Shop will replace a Total Nutrition store at The Shoppes at Canyon Pointe retail center, close to the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Pavilion Center Drive, and a few doors down from Bowlology.
This will be the third dessert shop for the local institution, following its Centennial expansion last October and a smaller outlet open at the T-Mobile Arena. The Summerlin location plans an October grand opening.
Scheduled to be open daily from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays, Freed’s famous custom cakes can be ordered onsite and will be created at the company’s 8,500-square-foot flagship store on Eastern Avenue.
In Summerlin, fans can expect a full collection of pastries, cookies, and baked goods, plus evergreen favorites, including the Freed’s strawberry shortcake.
