Downtown's Bajamar Seafood & Tacos has been serving its Pacific flavors in the shadow of the Stratosphere for more than two years and now its first expansion is almost ready to debut, 15 miles to the southwest.
Recently sharing that the restaurant expects to be open “very soon...like couple weeks soon,” the 1,499-square-foot Bajamar replaces the shuttered Vietnamese and Thai restaurant WTPho? at the intersection of Cimarron and Blue Diamond Roads.
Currently hiring, Bajamar joins Blue Diamond Marketplace neighbors Babystacks Cafe, XO Chinese, and Fuego Mexican Kitchen.
Inspired by its Baja, California, origins, the menu features tacos created with spicy octopus, smoked tuna, sautéed marlin, and carne asada, plus soups, piled high tostadas, and a series of chef's favorites including battered fish chunks, a surf n turf dish prepared over French fries. and spicy calamari.
Yet to announce future opening hours, the original location across Las Vegas Boulevard from Dino’s Lounge is open daily from 11 a.m to 9 p.m, but closed on Sundays.
