Giada De Laurentiis Heads to Scottsdale with Two New Restaurants

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA — Television personality Giada De Laurentiis plans to open two restaurants in the new 11-story Caesars Republic, debuting as a non-gaming hotel in 2021 near Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. Pronto by Giada, which the chef already has in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace, brings fast-casual Italian fare to the resort. Luna by Giada offers her Italian fare with California influences with a list of wines, an indoor/outdoor lounge, and Frosé. De Laurentiis opened Giada at The Cromwell five years ago, and also has GD Italian by Giada at the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore. [ABC 15]

SPRING VALLEY — Nevada Assemblyman Alexander Assefa, who is the first Ethiopian-American elected in to public office in the state, wants to designate the area along Decatur Boulevard near Flamingo Road Little Ethiopia. The proposal, now with the Clark County Commission, recognizes the restaurants and small businesses owned by Ethiopians in Nevada.
