First revealed a year ago, Japan-based Round1 entertainment company hasn’t forgotten about its huge plans for the Meadows Mall and has resubmitted paperwork to build a 42,000-square-foot amusement center inside the former Sears department store.
Although construction has not started on the project, Round1 plans to install bowling lanes, billiard tables, karaoke rooms, ticket redemption games of skill, plus a large selection of imported Japanese arcade games, all with an eye on local rivals GameWorks and Dave & Buster’s.
The massive gaming lounge plans to be open daily from noon until 2 a.m. A snack counter will serve burgers, pizza, wings, salads, nachos, churros, mozzarella sticks, and ice cream. A separate adults-only bar will stock draft and bottled beers, wine, and shoju/sake mixed drinks.
A location at the Meadowood Mall in Reno should debut this fall. The company has more than 30 locations nationwide.
