Two examples don’t yet prove a trend, but a second new Cajun-inspired casual restaurant is on its way to Las Vegas.
Cajun Crab House is hoping to debut in September at the eastside’s Flamingo Plaza retail hub, located right on the intersection of Flamingo Road and Boulder Highway, less than half a mile from Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling.
Owned by locals Cajun Crab LLC, including a former manager of China City, a shuttered fast-casual Chinese outpost on the westside, the new venture will take over a vacant 1,904-square-foot Pizza Hut in a prominent corner space.
And in Chinatown, Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar is confirming its Louisiana-style Cajun seafood is moving into the under construction Golden Spring Plaza at Spring Mountain and Duneville Street.
Already operating in Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, and Oklahoma, the local expansion hopes to be ready by the end of the year, featuring seafood served in spice-infused bags and its specialty dish, the Low Country Boil, filled with half pound servings of snow crab legs, shrimp, and sausage.
