Excalibur ups its dining game this fall when a new restaurant with American food opens. Think of Vagabond as a stop for pre-gaming a Vegas Golden Knights game or even the NFL’s Raiders when they start playing in Las Vegas in 2020.
Vagabond plans to feature a draft beer program, arcade games, live entertainment, and sports viewing throughout.
Already the restaurant that will sit on the casino floor next to the sports book has a menu teasing dishes such as the Vagaburger with smoked pork belly, black angus, fried onion, and barbecue sauce; the vaquero nachos with pulled pork, three-cheese blend, pickled jalapeño, pico de gallo, guacamole, and crema; a fried bologna sandwich topped with an over-easy egg, American cheese, and “comeback” sauce; Buffalo, honey barbecue, lemon pepper, mango-habanero, or jerk sauces on chicken wings; and a barbecue chicken quesadilla.
Domestic, imported, and craft beers on tap, frozen drinks, and a special menu focused on beer and shot pairings lead the charge at the bar.
Live music, tabletop gaming, and arcade and bar games highlight the entertainment. Eighteen high-definition television screens tuned to sports round out the bar side. A stage surrounds the bar.
Already the restaurant touts a design of murals, artwork, and neon signs in a rustic setting. Diners can sit at a patio with string light overhead or head to a separate game room.
The restaurant plans to be open at 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and starting at 10 a.m. Friday through Sunday when it debuts in October.
