While Dutch Bros. Coffee and newcomer Scooter’s Coffee compete for the local drive-thru java dollar, The Human Bean filed paperwork to create its second Las Vegas expansion.
Launched as an Ashland, Oregon, espresso stand back in 1998, the franchise has been pouring in North Las Vegas at 5265 Camino Al Norte for the last nine years.
The proposed, built-from-scratch, 600-square-foot space at 71 E. Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson, sits close to the intersection with Boulder Highway, across the street from Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican Hospital, and one long block from the rapid changes on Water Street.
Yet to announce an estimated opening, the kiosk will not offer any indoor seating.
Currently featuring peach cobble smoothies, pecan pie, blackberry frost, and butterscotch and vanilla beverages in its fall specials, the future menu will include a “Mexi Mocha” made with Mexican chocolate powder, Americanos, chai, cold brews, flavored Rockstar energy drinks, frozen espressos, and “Little Beans” drinks for kids.
