While visitors to Spring Mountain Road’s Shanghai Plaza still eagerly await the arrival of Tai 2 Chinese Sauerkraut Fish, 85C Bakery Cafe, and the rumored debut of Chinese retail store Miniso, Pepper Lunch remains under construction, but is now promising to be “sizzling soon.”
Moving into ground floor suite 107, next door to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, Pepper Lunch fans can look forward to cooking their own dishes on a 500-degree Fahrenheit “patented electromagnetic plate” right at their seat. The brand’s winking chef mascot also sports the hot plate as his fabricated head.
With an estimated budget of $309,711 for the basic tenant space improvement, the 2,096-square-foot restaurant will be large enough for a maximum occupancy of 77 inside.
Focusing on a Japanese DIY-teppan menu helps the restaurant deliver grilling ingredients to each table within five minutes,
Among the à la carte, or combo options, beef, eel, chicken, or seafood pepper rice dishes, Angus sirloin steak, kimchi cheese beef, and matcha cake or mochi ice cream for dessert.
