For more than 65 years, the “World Famous Mountain Springs Saloon” has resiliently stood its ground as a travel destination for folks in the know and a rustic and friendly bar that welcomes bikers and the sparse local community to the only dining option in the region.

Located on State Highway 160 between Pahrump and Las Vegas, the saloon recently started picking up extra customers after Bonnie Springs Ranch closed, and is now looking for a new and motivated restaurant partner.

The current operators of Hot Boxx BBQ are retiring and plan to serve their last bowls of hobo stew, plates of pulled pork and double beef, bacon and cheese Zombie burgers on Oct. 14. The $700 monthly lease includes the use of the existing kitchen.

Hoping to attract a barbecue, or taco shop, potential chefs and restaurants are advised, “don’t be discouraged if you have any other type of specialty food items.” The gaming bar also hosts popular weekly music and live events, including a monthly pig roast.
