Restaurateur Sami Ladeki may have changed the name of his new brunch restaurant, but that doesn’t stop it from opening on Oct. 6. Now dubbed Toasted Gastrobrunch, the breakfast and lunch restaurant serves flaming coffees and extravagant bloody Marys to go along with the brunch fare.
That means a roster of red velvet pancakes, shrimp and grits, and varieties of egg Benedicts and French toasts such as a short rib Benny and Elvis French toast. Other options include eggs in purgatory served in a sourdough bread bowl, duck confit toast, crispy chicken and cakes, and lobster and mashed avocado on toast. Lunch dishes include a smoked brisket melt and a BLT. Cocktails include a lavender lemonade mimosa, pisco sours, and blackberry, peach, or blood orange Bellinis.
Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill owner Ladeki, who said he changed the name from Toast Gastropub, also in Carlsbad, California, to Toasted “because we like the name,” plans to open his Las Vegas outlet at 9516 W. Flamingo Road.
