After closing Las Vegas’ first drive-thru, vegan fast-food restaurant over the summer, chef Kenny Chye assured his followers he still had big local plans, including expanding his Chinatown restaurant to Henderson.
The vegan specialist now reveals he will no longer be headed to a chosen spot on Eastern Avenue, but will next debut a second outpost of Chef Kenny’s Asian Vegan restaurant in Houston.
Hoped to be open by November, the casual space will replace Tuk-Tuk Crab, close to the intersection of Wilcrest and Harwin Drives, and is expected to include favorites from both the shuttered Vegeway and Chinatown menus.
Chye continues to plan for a “couple more locations” in unspecified cities, but is actively looking for a new Henderson property. Back in 2017, he revealed his long held ambition to bring vegan fine dining to the Strip, highlighted by a vegan sushi bar, and a menu of Asian organic cooking.
