It took a year from initial plans to the current hiring process, but a Japan-based rival to GameWorks and Dave & Buster’s is now rapidly pushing forward to debut an all-ages, 42,000-square-foot amusement center.
Predicting a fall debut and posting signage promising to be “coming soon,” Round1 Bowling & Amusement is replacing the first floor of the former Sears department store at the Meadows Mall.
Planned to be open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., Round1’s 30 locations feature bowling lanes, billiard tables, karaoke rooms, ticket redemption games, and imported Japanese arcade games that won’t be found at other Las Vegas arcades.
Recently debuted at Reno’s Meadowood Mall, the westside expansion will build a 270-foot bar pouring draft and bottled beers, wine, and shoju/sake mixed drinks, plus a snack food area featuring a fast-casual menu of burgers, pizza, wings, salads, nachos, churros, mozzarella sticks, and ice cream.
