Nine months in and the entrance to Eataly is preparing for a round of upgrades to take advantage of the long-awaited bridge that will connect the Park MGM resort to the east side of the Strip, dropping pedestrians right at the front door of the upscale food hall.
Hoped to be ready by the end of September, the first new Las Vegas Boulevard bridge built since 2012 will also lead visitors to as many as four movable vehicles created by the Italian company, Street Food Mobile. The street cart concept was included in the resort’s earliest plans for the outdoor plaza.
Yet to be officially announced, Park MGM will add new landscaping, trees, and signs to spruce up the area. Customers can currently enjoy an outdoor bite from Eataly at the Pizza alla Pala walk-up window and once construction is completed, from the cannoli, gelato, and Nutella windows on the opposite side of the entrance.
Already parked inside select worldwide Eataly locations, the future mobile cart menus have not been revealed and an estimated completion date for all the changes has not been shared.
When the bridge becomes operational, the existing pedestrian crossing leading to the Hard Rock Cafe will quickly disappear.
