Riding a wave of viral Instagram stardom and California and New York debuts so popular, restrictions were placed on the number of drink orders per person, Taiwan’s Tiger Sugar is promising to be coming soon to Spring Mountain Road.
Created in Taichung, Taiwan, in 2017 and now expanded to more than 40 international stores, the house specialty is a dessert drink mixed with brown sugar syrup, tapioca pearls, and fresh milk, creating syrup ”tiger stripes” inside each sealed cup.
Launching to long lines after its arrival in Brooklyn last summer, the Chinatown expansion will move into the former home of QQ Tea, located between Lindell Road and Hauck Street, in the commercial center next door to the recently opened Sweet Talk and The Noodle Man.
Requiring a recommended 15 up and down shakes to create the desired effect, Tiger Sugar’s drink menu includes cream mousse, latte and black, or green tea variations.
Yet to be confirmed for the Las Vegas outpost, in Asia the brand also serves boba milk ice bars. An estimated opening date has not been revealed.
