Jaleo, the Spanish tapas restaurant from José Andrés at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, kicks off a new brunch on Saturday, February 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Every Saturday and Sunday, the restaurant offers dishes such as coca sobrasada Menorquína, a house-made sobrasada on pan de cristal bread with fried quail eggs and honey for $16 to share, along with sweets such as torrijas con espuma de ron, a sweet-soaked Spanish toast with vanilla-rum whipped cream for $12.
Egg options include huevos estrellados with a traditional mix of fried potatoes and organic free-range fried eggs for $9, and add jamón for an additional $8; lomo de buey con huevo frito y patatas al Valdeón, a grilled hanger steak with an organic free-range fried egg, potatoes, and Valdeón cream sauce for $22; huevos al plato, a baked egg skillet with stewed vegetables and sobrasada, a cured pork sausage, for $16; arroz a la Cubana, sautéed rice served with caramelized banana, pork belly, and an organic free-range fried egg for $16; tosta de espinacas con huevo, a slow-cooked 63-degree egg on toasted brioche with sautéed spinach, Idiazábal cream, and Pedro Ximenez reduction for $16; bikini de la señora, a griddled sandwich with jamón, Idiazábal cheese, and piquillo, topped with a fried egg for $16; and pan de cristal con salmón ahumado y huevo duro, smoked salmon on pan de cristal bread with hard boiled egg, goat cheese, and capers for $18.
The restaurant also has endless sangria with red wine or cava for $30 for two hours, along with cocktails such as the Peninsular Red Snapper with Mare gin, tomato, citrus, spices, and piparra for $14; a Michelada made with Moritz Barcelona Lager, sherry salt rim, tomato, and spices for $11; and the Jaleo Mimosa made with cava and a choice of fresh orange, pineapple, or grapefruit juice for $14.
