Tao Beach Club at the Venetian will not open for the 2020 pool season. The 18,000-quare-foot daylife club since 2007 on the pool deck plans to go through a massive renovation and expansion before reopening in 2021.
The Venetian’s plans for its pool deck don’t stop there. A new restaurant from 50 Eggs Hospitality Group debuts for the 2020 season. The resort filed paperwork for $1.5 million in estimated construction costs alone to improve an existing restaurant. Wolfgang Puck’s Solaro serves seasonally at the resort’s Palazzo pools.
Restaurateur John Kunkel’s 50 Eggs already has Yardbird Southern Table & Bar and Chica , which kicks off Chica Nights every Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. to close, with deejays, salsa dancers, food and drink specials including two-for-one Chica-ritas, and free unlimited bubbly for women only.
Last summer, the Venetian revealed a remodeled pool deck complete with cabanas and cocktails including slushies, all surrounded by the look of the Italian Riviera.
