Television personality and chef Guy Fieri celebrated his birthday at his restaurant Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar at The Linq last Wednesday. The restaurant held a birthday party that included al pastor tacos, Kobe burger pockets, Nashville hot chicken, big dipper sandwiches, desserts, birthday cake, and more. The night included a drumline performance and a birthday cake presented by the Las Vegas Raiders’ Raiderettes. Fieri recently partnered with former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar to launch a premium tequila brand, Santo. New Santo cocktails at the restaurant include the Off the Hook watermelon margarita, Vegas Honey Knuckle, and Santo sangria mule. Fieri turned 52 on January 22. [EaterWire]
Fieri also found time to head to the Strat to join Hagar, ’80s singer and actor Rick Springfield, and Gov. Steve Sisolak for a reveal of the renovations at the tower last Wednesday. Hagar announced that Springfield is his new partner in Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum.
