Local pioneers behind a new custom-built, fast-casual restaurant Fly Pie are moving closer to construction on the region’s first drive-thru pizza restaurant.
Newly filed paperwork confirms the 2,030-square-foot structure will move onto a vacant lot on the western end of the St. Rose Corporate Center, at the intersection with Coronado Center Drive in Henderson.
Scott Godino Jr., a force behind three Born and Raised bar and restaurants including a nearby Henderson location on Eastern Avenue, created the restaurant where diners will only be able to order and pick-up from their vehicle. The space will not feature indoor seating or counter service.
Designed by creative locals Sage Design Studios, early renderings hint drivers will enter a country barn-like structure, with large sliding doors and a covered arched roof.
Still to officially reveal the project, or announce an estimated debut date, initial City of Henderson proposals detailed a daily schedule from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m and a specialized kitchen, adapted to hand over a customizable personal pie from order to pizza box in under five minutes.
