An unrepentant sweet toothed concept from Utah is rapidly expanding in its home state and has two new locations quickly headed to Las Vegas.
Created in 2017, Twisted Sugar’s specialty is baked daily cookies and cream-topped smoothies, served in a modern, Instagram-ready spin of an old fashioned soda shop.
First to arrive locally will be a counter-service space in the Smith’s grocery store on Centennial’s Skye Canyon Drive. In-house cookie outlet RubySnap shuttered at the store last year.
The Smith’s-anchored retail hub is also expected to be a future home to the Sky Tavern and the second Centennial home of Thai bistro Lemongrass & Lime, plus Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, China A Go Go, the Hawaiian menu of Island Flavor, and a Cafe Rio.
A larger Twisted Sugar space has already been announced for Henderson, taking over a former 1,308-square-foot skin care store at the Paseo Verde Plaza, a few doors down from another Smith’s, at the intersection of Paseo Verde Parkway and Valle Verde Drive.
In Utah, Twisted Sugar’s five locations are open daily from 7.30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and closing at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
On the menu, a full range of cookie flavors, including peanut butter Nutella, salted caramel, lemon tart, double fudge and the namesake version topped with a slice of lime.
Alongside sodas and drink combinations created with energy drinks, smoothie choices include cotton candy, the Dreamsicle, frozen hot chocolate, and a Pineapple Dole Whip creation.
