Top of the World at the Strat landed the top spot among Las Vegas restaurants in Restaurant Business magazine’s newest list of top grossing independent restaurants in the country for 2019. Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab at the Forum Shops at Caesars, which took the top spot in 2018, came in second among Las Vegas eateries.
The magazine estimates that Top of the World made $25.2 million in sales with 246,054 meals served in 2019, landing in the No. 7 spot on the list.
Carmine’s, the Italian restaurant that serves family-style dishes in Times Square, took the top spot on the list with an estimated $39.1 million in sales and 469,803 meals served. It’s sister restaurant at the Forum Shops in Caesars came in 65th with $15.1 million in estimated sales.
Virgil’s Real Barbecue — also, like Carmine’s, from Alicart Restaurant Group — at The Linq Promenade made the list for the first time in the 100th spot.
The full chart of 100 includes 21 New York destinations, 11 in Las Vegas, nine in Washington, D.C., and 11 in California.
