The Sahara gets to work on a multi-million dollar renovation that brings Philadelphia’s Chickie’s & Pete’s and hand-pulled noodles from chef Guoming “Sam” Xin to Noodle Den, along with an unnamed Italian restaurant and another venue. All are part of the resort’s $150 million resort remodel that brings big changes to the Strip-facing exterior by next summer.
The Sahara dubs the four new venues “restaurant row” and currently includes the Beers & Bets and Club 101 venues, with the restaurants extended out to the Strip for larger indoor and outdoor patio spaces.
The already announced Chickie’s and Pete’s sports bar and crab house brings a menu of crabfries and elevated bar cuisine such as a crabfeast and Lisa’s blonde lobster pie pizza. Chickie’s & Pete’s will serve as location of of the resort’s William Hill sportsbook, which will temporarily move to the main casino during construction.
Xin, who joined Sahara’s culinary team earlier this year to oversee the resort’s Chinese culinary scene after founding The Noodle Man locally, will launch the Noodle Den featuring his hand-pulled noodles and dumplings, as well as traditional Northern Chinese dishes. Diners can watch the chefs pull noodles in a demonstration kitchen.
The resort also plans to open an Italian restaurant and another outlet, which will be announced next year.
