Revealed back in January, when nobody predicted the classic Las Vegas buffet experience might be on the edge of extinction, Imperial Sushi Seafood Buffet opened at the Golden Spring Plaza, serving an upgraded spin on a Chinatown buffet.
Located on Spring Mountain Road, close Duneville Street and next door to a forthcoming all-you-can-eat shabu shabu restaurant, diners at Imperial’s large, open plan, high-ceiling space are greeted with a temperature check and hand sanitizer.
Customers are always required to wear a mask when they are close to the serving stations, before moving in a single line down the aisle and asking Imperial’s staff to pick up individual items behind the counter and place them on their plates.
Serving daily, from lunch until dinner, the later service includes unlimited lobster tails and oysters among its seafood upgrades.
Offering a familiar collection of favorites, plus less common items including honeycomb tripe and deep-fried frog legs, options include king crab legs, lobster, sushi, sashimi, dim sum, dumplings, Korean ribs, and selections from the hibachi grill, plus ice cream and pastries for dessert.
The lunch buffet is currently priced at $22.99 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, with dinner costing $32.99 during the week and $35.99 on Fridays. On Saturday and Sunday the unlimited choices are available for the all day price of $35.99.
Imperial Sushi Seafood Buffet, 5845 Spring Mountain Road, 725-200-3588. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9.30 p.m, closing at 10 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
