The Buffalo Spot cleared its final inspection and brought its first local franchise to the southeast following a series of unplanned delays. The restaurant originally launched in Long Beach seven years ago and rapidly expanded into Texas, Arizona, and across Southern California.
Creating a social media hit with its generous servings of buffalo fries, stacked with breaded, fried chicken breast pieces and drizzled with the house sauce, the 1,918-square-foot counter-service space occupies a corner property at the new Serene Shops retail center, close to the intersection of East Serene Avenue and South Spencer Street. The restaurant joins Chikyu Vegan Sushi Bar & Izakaya and the future Gyro Express.
Chicken fans can order tenders, wings, salads, and wraps, plus sides of bread sticks, onion rings, and veggie sticks, and upgrade their choices with 12 different sauces, ranging from mild to atomic hot with flavors of pineapple jalapeño, Jamaican jerk, barbecue, and chipotle.
The Buffalo Spot, 1740 E. Serene Avenue, 702-703-7200. Open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
