Fry lovers rejoice. A California cult favorite has quickly confirmed its won’t just be the eastside to revel in mountains of French fries topped with generous portions of steak, shrimp, bacon, and cheese.
Promised to be “coming soon,” chef Craig Batiste’s wildly successful Mr. Fries Man restaurant is headed to North Las Vegas, moving into the long-shuttered Ruby’s Tacos corner space at the Desert Oaks Plaza, close to the intersection of Craig Road and Valley Drive.
A rare dining option for the retail center, the fast-casual restaurant is scheduled to be open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Launched by Batista as an L.A. food cart, Mr. Fries Man evolved into a Southern California media sensation, sharing its Instagram-ready dishes with more than 375,000 followers.
Preparing each fry meal with cheese, a choice of sauce, plus options including chicken, lemon garlic crab, and honey garlic shrimp, Mr. Fries Man will also move into a 1,350-square-foot Subway store at the eastside’s Flamingo Market Place, a new neighbor to India Masala and located a short distance from Maryland Parkway. It plans to keep the same operating hours as the North Las Vegas expansion.
