Once the biggest casual dining craze in Las Vegas, Jaburritos shuttered its Spring Valley sushi burrito restaurant earlier this year and a Henderson-born pizza restaurant is making a big move to take its place.
Hoping for a December 15 debut, Manizza’s Pizza will soon add a new oven and deep fryers as part of its construction upgrades at the Rainbow Pavilion retail center, close to Rainbow Boulevard and Patrick Lane.
A sequel to Stella’s Pizza and named after the owners’ great grandfather, Tony Rocco Manizza, the new space will fill 1,589 square feet and is expected to unveil a similar menu to the Henderson original.
Using dough prepared daily, scratch-made sauces, and Boar’s Head deli meat toppings, Stella’s expanded from meal-prep company Diced Kitchen, still located next door at the Sunridge Village Plaza on Eastern Avenue.
Yet to announce future opening hours, Stella’s Pizza is open Tuesday to Sunday for delivery and takeout and offers a traditional roster of casual favorites, plus calzones, wings, cannolis and fried Oreos, and The Blonde Bombshell pizza stacked with a five cheese blend and buffalo mozzarella slices, The Cheek Ranch pie created with diced chicken fingers and a ranch dressing base, and The Caprese topped with Roma tomatoes.
Jaburritos is still open for business at the Strip’s Linq Promenade, but its Miracle Mile Shops location remains temporarily closed.
