Back in November, the Mirage closed its hotel for weeknight stays. Now the resort announced via Twitter that it will close its casino floor, volcano attraction at the front, all restaurants, and other amenities during the week as well starting on January 4.
In a tweet on Monday, the Mirage says it will “temporarily open each week Thursdays at noon through Monday at noon starting Jan. 4, 2021.”

The Mirage reopened on August 27, nearly four months after the state permitted nonessential businesses to return following a 78-day shutdown that started in March. Among the restaurants and bars that returned, Pantry, Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak, Osteria Costa, The Still, Paradise Cafe, and Rhumbar. The Italian restaurant Osteria Costa than temporarily closed again. Stack reopens on December 30 while Otoro with its robata grill returns December 31.
Mandalay Bay and Park MGM also closed their hotels for mid-week bookings but their restaurants remain open. Encore Las Vegas closed its hotel and restaurants on weekdays as well at the end of October, while the Palazzo’s hotel closed temporarily seven days a week but restaurants remain open. When the off-Strip Rio resort returns today, its hotel will close for mid-week stays as well.
