The state shut down nonessential businesses including casinos in March and allowed them to reopen on June 4. The Rio reopening marks the final resort to return of all Caesars regional casinos and hotels across the country.

The Rio joins Mandalay Bay and Park MGM, which also closed their hotels for mid-week bookings but their restaurants remain open. Encore Las Vegas closed its hotel and restaurants during the week as well at the end of October, while the Palazzo’s hotel closed temporarily seven days a week, but restaurants remain open. The Mirage closed its hotel and restaurants during the week as well.
