San Diego’s Landini’s Pizzeria is currently hiring and promising they will very soon be serving up a menu of pasta, pizza, and thin-crust slices more than a year since signing a lease at the corner of Fort Apache and Russell Roads.
Launched in 2009, Lanidini’s holds claim to being the first to sell individual New York-style slices in San Diego’s Little Italy, before expanding to a second location and opening the city’s Illando Ristorante Italiano and Scuderie Italia restaurants.
The southwest expansion will fill a 1,386-square-foot corner space at the brand new Russell Square retail center, with room for a maximum occupancy of 47 inside and located a short drive from The Gramercy.
Yet to announce future opening hours, or an updated menu, the original Landini’s Pizzeria serves salads, lasagna, and eggplant parmigiana, panini, stromboli, spinach rolls, pasta dishes, chicken wings and pizza by the slice, plus specialty pies topped with a broad variety of ingredients including butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, chorizo, ricotta, and barbecue chicken.
