Now that football seems to take over every night of the week between college match-ups and NFL games, a sports bar seems like the perfect venue for some socially distanced tailgating. Now Palace Station has the newest sports bar in town, Tailgate Social, filled with 30 high-definition televisions tuned into all the big games.
Clique Hospitality offers a roster of food, drink, and games that make it seem as if customers created their own tailgating spot. Every seat in the restaurant at the front of Palace Station has a view of televisions, and a surround sound system gives the feel of being at the stadium.
Diners can order the Bag A Bones, hickory smoked baby back ribs with a side of fries; a Build-Your-Own Burger with mix-and-match options; or for those with a big appetite, the Holey Moley Big Ass Four Foot Stromboli loaded with pepperoni, sausage, and roasted peppers with melted Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. For dessert, Tailgate offers the Banana in the Tailpipe Sundae served with chocolate-covered bananas, honey toast custard, vanilla soft serve, and chocolate sauce topped with strawberries and sprinkles. All are served out of a VW bus facade.
The bar features hard-to-find beers and local favorites such as 7Five’s Training Day Golden Ale created by Las Vegas’ own Golden Knights enforcer Ryan Reaves. A Red Card brings a spicy house blended Michelada served with a grilled fish taco, chips, and salsa and topped with a charred jalapeño while the Moon Runner comes served over ice with moonshine.
Tailgate Social, Palace Station, 2411 W. Sahara Ave., 702-221-6513. Open Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight. Happy hour daily from 5 to 7 p.m.
