PALMS — Chef and former co-host of The Chew Michael Symon now serves tacos and tamales made from scratch in addition to his smokehouse dishes at Mabel’s BBQ. The tacos feature house-made tortillas stuffed with pork shoulder, smoked chicken, beef brisket, or a vegetarian option with smoked mushrooms with avocado, cilantro, and crema. Mabel’s also offers the ‘Merican with a classic hard shell taco with ground beef, pico de gallo, and jack cheese. The homemade masa and steamed cornhusk tamales come in options such as the KC BBQ brisket tamale with mustard, tomato, and paprika. Other options include the smoked chicken tamale with salsa verde, jalapeno, roasted garlic and tomato; pork shoulder tamale; and the vegetarian option comes with Monterey Jack cheese, jalapeno, and smoked poblano peppers. GRAND CANAL SHOPPES — Minus5 Ice Experience goes through a renovation its 1,000-square-foot space made up of 100 tons of ice from Canada and Minnesota. Twelve professional ice carvers plan to create a bar with ice columns inspired by the Venetian, a magical ice forest, and a poolside cabana with a daybed.
