A new coffee shop plans to open in the Arts District in May, serving Sightglass Coffee in the new apartment complex dubbed shareDowntown.

Derek and Juliet Douglas debut Golden Fog Coffee, an ode to Juliet’s childhood in San Francisco and the couple’s love of the Vegas Golden Knights. Native Las Vegan Derek works as an artist professionally known as Snipt, specializing in pop culture mixed media mashups and murals. Juliet works in event and wedding planning.

Golden Fog Coffee combines art and dining with a bakery and quick bites menu with vegetarian dishes when it opens on May 15. San Francisco’s Sightglass Coffee takes center stage, with espressos made using a Sanremo Café Racer and latte art as well as loose-leaf teas.

The 1,400-square-foot coffee shop has room for up to 40 diners with bar seating with charging stations and outlets. Golden Fog will also have patio seating along Casino Center Boulevard. The modern space features art from local artists on the walls, and the couple showcases local artists through monthly popups that include limited-edition cups, T-shirts, and other merchandise.

Golden Fog Coffee will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
