Restaurateur Freddy Hwang’s Sapporo Restaurant Group is on a roll, opening a third location of his highly popular Sapporo Revolving Sushi just a few short months after sibling concept Master Kim’s Korean BBQ expanded to Town Square and recent news the automated barbecue restaurant is on its way to Henderson.
The first local destination to launch a sushi focused menu delivered via conveyor belts, Sapporo Revolving Sushi is now open at the Silverton Village retail center, joining Starbucks, Panera Bread, Blaze Pizza, Firehouse Subs, and Kobashi Ramen & Curry at 8229 Dean Martin Drive, conveniently located behind the Silverton Casino.
Following the lead of its Chinatown and Centennial branches, customers can pick up any of the plates traveling on the moving track, including bluefin tuna, snowcrab, surf clams, and seared Cajun albacore, all priced at $2.50 a serving.
Diners looking for something extra also have access to a full Japanese menu loaded on a touchscreen iPad. The specialty dishes are then cooked to order and sped to each seat via a second, dedicated robot train.
Options include larger appetizers and sushi rolls, sashimi, tempura plates featuring shrimp and the stuffed jalapeno bomb, ramen and udon bowls, plus entrees of gyu katsu, deep fried beef battered in panko, grilled black cod, and striped bass served with mango salsa.
